Château Giscours, a third Grand Cru Classé, is one of the most historical and largest chateaux in Margaux. Its heritage and experience have been passed down by generations to perfect its craftsmanship in winemaking.
Its high quality of Alluvial deposits of Garonne gravel dating from the Quaternary period, with slight variations in three of its major hilltops, has provided Giscours wines with structure, elegance and complexity, enabling them to develop over time whilst still retaining the charm and delicacy characteristic of a Margaux.
At Giscours, preserving its rich ecosystem is also at the heart of its philosophy. Currently, more than half of the vineyard area is organically cultivated, a proportion that is increasing every year.
In this episode of «Confidences by Watson’s Wine #2», chef Samual LEE and head sommelier Maxime VERDIER at Shangri-La Paris has paired Shang Palace rice in lotus leaf with Giscours Margaux 3em Cru 2016.
