G.H. Mumm is a historic producer in Champagne blending the finest vintages since 1827. In the 19th century, the House wanted to assert the quality of its products and decided to adorn their bottles with a red silk ribbon, with a reference to the “Legion of Honour” (the highest decoration in France). Since then, the red strip has been the symbol of the House for more than 100 years.
To obtain the precisely matured wines, the team of G.H. Mumm insists on a longer ageing period with a low level of dosage to allow the wines to fully express their character, and to obtain a subtle balance between freshness and intensity. Everything from the house is carefully crafted to be the best, and nothing is left to chance.
