Chateau Bellefont-Belcier
Created in the late 18th century, the Bellefont-Belcier estate is perfectly situated on Saint-Emilion’s south-facing slopes, neighbourhing Château Pavie, Château Larcis-Ducasse and Château Tertre Roteboeuf.
Château Bellefont-Belcier originally belonged to a very powerful Bordeaux family: at the end of the 18th century, the Count Louis-François de Belcier had first founded the vineyard then, at the beginning of the 19th century, he built the Château which he named Bellefont (Belle Fontaine means ‘beautiful fountain’ and is a reference to the numerous springs hidden on the hillside into which the vines plunge their roots.)
Major restructuring work in the vineyard was undertaken in 1994. Château Bellefont-Belcier was classified in 2006 as Grand Cru Classé.
Peter Kwok acquired the property in 2017.
Chateau Tour Saint Christophe
Château Tour Saint Christophe is located in Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes at the frontiers of Saint-Émilion. The vineyard is a unique feature in Saint-Emilion, as it is partly planted on narrow terraces where the vineyard is tended in tight rows. This cascading landscape unfolds on the hillside of Cassevert overlooking the Saint Laurent valley.
Château Tour Saint Christophe was acquired by Peter Kwok and his daughter Karen in 2012. The property overlooks beautiful centuries-old dry stone terraces on a clay-limestone terroir. In order to preserve its rich heritage, Peter undertook to restore the Château. The objective was to revive the vineyard terraces with the reconstruction of dry stone walls as it had been built in the 18th century. About 1.5 km of dry-stone terraces have been repaired by hand, a two-year process to preserve the appearance of these unique terraces in Saint-Emilion.
The vineyard, with vines of an average age of thirty years, is orientated South-Southwest and benefits from an ideal exposure to sun and perfect natural drainage conditions. It is this secret alchemy which contributes to the quality of our terroir.
Today the property consists of 20 hectares on the appellation of Saint Emilion Grand Cru.
Chateau Haut-Brisson
Château Haut-Brisson was the first property acquired by Peter Kwok and his daughter Elaine in 1997. In 2019, Mr. Stéphane Schinazi, a Bordeaux native, acquired Château Haut Brisson from Vignobles K. Mr. Schinazi has a strong passion for wine and after a successful career in the field of technology, he was looking to start a new chapter of his career entering the wine world.
Château Haut-Brisson is located south of the appellation on the 3 villages of Saint-Émilion, Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens and Vignonet.
The diversity of terroirs, combined with vines of an average age of 40 years, allows us to produce wines at an optimum maturity that expresses the terroir. In addition, Vignobles K is partnering with Mr. Stéphane Schinazi to jointly overlook both technical and commercial management at the estate.
