Dear Wine Lover,
We are pleased to invite you to a weekend tasting featuring 24 wines from some of the best producers in Germany including Keller, Julian Haart, A. Christmann and more.
For centuries, Germany has been producing some of the world’s greatest and most sought-after dry and fruity Riesling wines which are profoundly expressive on its terroir. Considered as the top-quality dry Rieslings, Grosses Gewächs (GG) bottlings, like a grand cru Burgundy, are sourced from classified premium single vineyards to emphasise the unique site characteristics. On the other hands, the best fruity Rieslings are catagorised by Prädikats, which refers to ripeness level of the grapes harvested, showing the perfect harmony between sweetness and acidity.
While Riesling is the most planted one, Germany is home to nearly 135 different grape varieties. In recent years, some of them are getting more attention around the world with increasing quality, including Silvaner, Weissburgunder, and the up-and-coming Spätburgunder. Join us for the weekend to taste some world-class Rieslings, and have a fun discovery in German wines beyond Riesling!
