Los Vascos Grande Reserve 2017
Los Vascos is one of Chile’s oldest wine estates. It is owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild, which also owns Château Lafite Rochschild, and it is managed by the technical director of Lafite.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the classic grape on which the estate has built its reputation. The 600-hectare vineyard is located in the heart of the Colchagua Valley, which offers the perfect micro-climate for the un-grafted, pre-phylloxera Bordeaux rootstock.
Los Vascos Grande Reserve is a great value, benchmark Chilean wine, for which Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with a little Malbec and Syrah, and with another of Chile’s success stories, Carmenère.
