David Duband Nuits St Georges 2016
David Duband used to be described as one of the dynamic young rising stars of the Burgundy winemaking scene. It would be fair to say that he is now high in the sky!
Domaine David Duband is based in Chevannes, producing wines from 23 prestigious appellations, but pride of place might go to the Nuits-St-Georges. The excellent 2016 vintage comprises fruit from mostly La Charmotte and Aux Saints-Juliens. It is ripe but fresh: violet and blackberry aromas introduce a palate with dark berry flavours, perfectly nuanced tannins, and a balanced mineral finish.
