Selling Request
Submit a selling request either for a direct sale to us or for listing on the Watson's Wine Marketplace.
Price Setting

For selling to us:

  • Set your desired selling price.
  • Our trading team will review your request and may accept, reject, or provide a counter‑offer.

For selling to members on the Marketplace:

  • Set your listing price freely and adjust it anytime within the specified period.
  • Your wines will be inspected by our team.
  • Inspection results and wine conditions will be disclosed to buyers for their consideration.
Deal Completed
After the provision of bank information, the payment will be transferred to your account within 30-45 working days. You can also view your deal in Selling History.

Does commission apply when I sell my wines to Watson’s Wine or Marketplace?

Yes. A 10% commission fee applies when you sell on Marketplace. Additionally, a listing and inspection fee of $200 per case will be charged.

Am I permitted to adjust the listing price at any point once an item is listed on Marketplace?

Yes. You may update the price as long as the items are not on hold. The updated price will require approval from our team.

Can I delist my items at any time on Marketplace?

Yes. You may delist your items as long as they are not currently on hold by a buyer.

What will be inspected after I pay the listing and inspection fee?

Our team will examine four key areas: bottle integrity, fill level, label condition, and overall appearance.

"Sell My Wine" Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before submitting an offer to Watson's Wine for the sale of your "En Primeur" wines. Where a sale and purchase is agreed through "Sell my wine", a contract of sale is established between you and WW pursuant to these terms.

  1. 1. Selling
    1. 1.1. 'Sell My Wine' is only available for "En Primeur" wines purchased from Watson's Wine ("WW" or "we") and stored at WW's storage facilities under WW's wine storage plans.
    2. 1.2. You agree that any offer made by you shall remain open for acceptance for a minimum of 180 days, and can be accepted by us at any time within such timeframe.
    3. 1.3. Offers are made in Hong Kong Dollars only.
    4. 1.4. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of your offer(s) before submitting it to WW on "Sell My Wine". WW is not bound to accept any requests for adjustments of an offer on grounds of mistake. No amendments can be made by you after you have submitted an offer.
    5. 1.5. You should note that, where WW comments on a particular aspect of your offer, any positive view expressed by WW will not in any way bind WW to accept your offer. No sale is concluded until WW expressly accepts your offer in writing on "Sell My Wine". We may choose not to accept your offer for any reason, we will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances.
    6. 1.6. You must safeguard your login username and password at all times. We assume that any person using "Sell my wine" with your login details is either you or is authorised to act for you.
  2. 2. Offer Acceptances / Cancellation
    1. 2.1. An offer is formally accepted when we accept your initial offer price or when you accept a counteroffer from us, as the case may be. You can always log onto "Sell my wine" for a status update.
    2. 2.2. Once your offer is accepted by us, we will issue a statement to you based on the purchase terms as agreed between us. All relevant purchase terms will be expressly set out in the statement.
    3. 2.3. For us to proceed with payment and to complete the sale, you acknowledge that you will need to upload a valid bank proof (which should at the minimum, contain the beneficiary name, your address, bank account details on the bank's letterhead issued in the recent three months. Details on the bank proof will also need to match with your storage details on our records). We are not bound to proceed with the sale if you are unable to provide us with the required information and documents or if there is a problem or concern on our part verifying who you are.
    4. 2.4. All relevant bank information is collected solely to facilitate invoicing and payment purpose. Information will be removed from our system 2 years following inactivity of the account and will in any event not be collected without consent and kept for longer than necessary.
    5. 2.5. We may cancel a contract of sale:
      1. (a) where you and WW mutually agree that it should be cancelled;
      2. (b) where we, in our sole discretion, determine that there is clearly an error in the offer from you
  3. 3. Inspection of wines
    1. 3.1. You agree that we may inspect the wines you are proposing to sell to us before accepting an offer from you. We are not obliged to provide any reasons for not accepting your offer following an inspection.
  4. 4. Payment
    1. 4.1. Our payment to you will be the agreed purchase price for the wines you have agreed to sell to us, less:
      1. (a) an administrative fee (where applicable)
    2. 4.2. Payment for the wines sold will be made to you in about 30 to 45 business days from the date of our statement and following receipt of payment information from you, whichever comes later.

  5. 5. Title to wines sold
    1. 5.1. Title and risk to the wines sold shall pass to us upon WW settling the purchase price for the wines in full. Sold wines shall be transferred to WW following the sale.
  6. 6. Wine storage fee
    1. 6.1. Storage plan(s) by WW runs under an automatic-renewal basis: - If the wines you are proposing to sell to us is not sold and transferred to us before your plan expires, you will still be responsible and liable to pay for storage fees for the wines later sold to us
  7. 7. Other Terms
    1. 7.1. By submitting an offer to WW on "Sell My Wine", you acknowledge that you have understood and you agree to be bound by these terms.
    2. 7.2. These terms shall be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China ("Hong Kong") and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
    3. 7.3. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice. If any dispute arises, WW's determination shall be final. Where these terms are available in Chinese, the English version is the governing version and shall prevail whenever there is a discrepancy between the two versions.
