DML Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir 2021 75cl

D’Anna Middleton Lewis (DML VIN) is a partnership between the D’Anna family, Sam Middleton and Jordan Lewis. It focuses on single site regional Pinot Noir with the first vintage being released in June 2019. The nose opens with stewed plum, rhubarb and cherry liquor notes, along with spice, earth and other savoury complexities. The palate is medium bodied and shows flavours of blackberry, cranberry, baking spice and other savoury nuances. These flavours on the palate are perfectly supported by a core of tannin and well balanced acid that run through this wine.

Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs Brut 75cl

The oldest wine house in the Champagne region (Aÿ, 1584), Gosset consistently produces “finely sculpted” wines of “striking clarity and precision” (Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate). High-quality fruit sourced almost entirely from grand-cru and premier-cru vineyards in Côte des Blancs and Côte des Noirs, brings richness and complexity to the fore. Malolactic fermentation is avoided to allow for a profoundly fresh, pure, fruit-forward, and aromatic expression, as well as a more dynamic attack.

    Mount Mary Quintet 2020 75cl

Sam is a third-generation winemaker from the Middleton family and has held the role of Head Winemaker since 2011. He has a passion for viticulture, extensive experience in France. Growing up in the Yarra Valley alongside his father and grandfather, grapes and wine have always been a part of life. He has always demonstrated a passion for primary production and has a deep respect for this region and its unique ability to produce world-class wines. Named Red Wine of the Year 2023 in the Halliday Wine Companion, Quintet sits comfortably alongside Penfolds Grange and Henschke Hill of Grace, while being quite different in character. The estate’s flagship label, it is a (very) traditional Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot.

    Chris Ringland Randall's Hill Shiraz 2014 75cl

Chris Ringland is highly revered in Australia and, even though he makes wines in often tiny quantities, his fame has spread far. He makes wines from 100-year-old, low-yielding, non-irrigated Shiraz vines in his own vineyard, and additional grapes are sourced from cooler spots in the Barossa Ranges. Robert Parker Jr has written that his wine is “arguably the greatest Shiraz make in Australia”. Randall’s Hill is the second label from Chris Ringland’s Stone Chimney Creek vineyard, a 2ha plot purchased by Chris in 1994. The juice is vinified in small batches to produce a collection of barrels which Chris matures under his house which sits beside the vineyard. Truly, a Barossa Valley domaine wine. The reserve Randall’s Hill is a more fruit forward wine than the Barossa Ranges Shiraz.

Rhys Alpine Vineyard 'Swan Terrace' Pinot Noir 2019 75cl

Founded in 2004, Rhys Vineyards was established by Kevin Harvey. Led by Harvey, the winery works with the mission of maintaining their high standards and even achieving a higher note of elegance and uniqueness in their drinks. The 2019 Pinot Noir Swan Terrace bounds from the glass with a blue-fruited, floral aromatic intensity that initially feels more composed and collected than the exuberant Alpine bottling. The palate is exquisite and lifted, with a suave, silky polish that unfolds into a layered but inward finish laden with sturdy, chalky tannins and delicious dark fruits.

Paul Hobbs Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 75cl

Twice named Robert Parker's “Wine Personality of the Year”, Paul Hobbs has a reputation for crafting some of Napa Valley’s most sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are sourced from the legendary "To Kalon" vineyard, one of California’s most historic and premium sites. The name To Kalon literally means “highest good” in Greek, a fitting description for a vineyard so well-regarded for its superlative fruit and as the source of the legendary Georges de Latour wines. The resulting wine presents finely sculpted layers of cassis, cocoa, and graphite, with an endless finish adorned by velvety yet stately tannins.

Poggio di Sotto Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2018 75cl

Poggio di Sotto was established in 1989 on the South-East side of Montalcino. It became part of the ColleMassari family in 2011. Since the foundation, the Estate has become famous for the high quality of the Sangiovese. “Poggio di Sotto hits it out the ballpark once again with an extremely elegant interpretation that shows the incredible depth and nuance Sangiovese can achieve, even in an uneven vintage such as this. The certified organic 2018 Brunello di Montalcino reveals a dark ruby hue and mid-weight concentration. Indeed, the wine is lighter and brighter than most, despite Brunello’s mandatory five years of aging before its commercial release. The tannins are silky and melt over the palate. Along the way, the wine offers high notes of red cherry, cassis and blue flower.
