About Professional Wine Ratings
A wine score is the quickest, simplest way for a wine critic to communicate their opinion about the quality of a wine. Professional wine rating scores from a wide range of critics, for example Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator, are usually adjusted for the 100-point scale. A mean of these scores is presented for specific vintages of a wine, as well as across all vintages.

About The Wine
Berry and plum pastry with poached, red fruit and an array of wild herbs. The palate delivers rich, spicy, dark berries with convincing depth and drive. From organically grown grapes. JS
A good marriage of food and wine ideally provides more pleasure than enjoying either one separately. As each of us have different sensitivities to various flavours and preferences, the definition of 'perfect pairing' varies, and this makes up the fun part of food and wine pairing.

La Nerthe's 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee des Cadettes is mostly Mourvedre (55%), with the rest being Syrah (25%), Grenache (17%) and other permitted varieties (3%). It delivers significantly more intensity, richness and length than the regular cuvee, with bold raspberries and black cherries on the nose, ample weight and concentration on the palate and a lingering finish marked by an intricate weave of silky tannins. Chateau La Nerthe Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee des Cadettes 2017
Darker in color and in flavor profile than the regular bottling, la Nerthe's 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee des Cadettes is 47% Grenache, 29% Syrah and 24% Mourvedre, aged in a mix of foudres (60%) and new barriques (40%). Pungent, earthy and cedary up front, it adds notes of dark fruit (plums, black cherries), dried spices and cocoa as it evolves. Full-bodied, rich and velvety, it finishes long and plush.
