A restrained but ripe nose offers up notes of various dark berries, rose petal and anise nuances, all of which is trimmed in a deft touch of wood. The caressing and quite rounded middle weight plus flavors possess good volume but not the depth I'm used to seeing from this succulent wine on the otherwise nicely persistent finish. BH
