A wine score is the quickest, simplest way for a wine critic to communicate their opinion about the quality of a wine. Professional wine rating scores from a wide range of critics, for example Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator, are usually adjusted for the 100-point scale. A mean of these scores is presented for specific vintages of a wine, as well as across all vintages.

Polished nose with aromas of plums, blueberries, cedar, chocolate and praline. It’s full-bodied with firm, silky tannins. Delicious depth of fruit. Give this a couple more years. JS
A good marriage of food and wine ideally provides more pleasure than enjoying either one separately. As each of us have different sensitivities to various flavours and preferences, the definition of 'perfect pairing' varies, and this makes up the fun part of food and wine pairing.
Very ripe yet floral nose with potpourri, Earl Grey tea and some nicely baked cherries, prunes, cocoa powder and undergrowth. Fleshy, rich and pretty concentrated, yet supple and juicy, with a full-bodied palate that’s rounded by firm yet powdery tannins. Flavorful and long finish. JS

Prats & Symington Chryseia Douro Doc 2019
This shows superb depth, sensual texture, fine structure, a long finish and much more ability to age. This is a beautiful Chryseia, and it is not done improving yet. A polished wine, it can be drunk now, but you'll benefit if you give this a few years in the cellar. RP
