Located in high-altitude Penedès, Can Sumoi has been an agricultural farm since 1645. Literally meaning “house of Sumoll” in local language, the estate was discovered by the Raventós family who believe it is the best place with hundreds of years of history to revive this almost-extinct indigenous variety Sumoll. It leads to a project that respects the environment, natural vinifications and biodynamic viticulture.

On 31st Mar (Thu), Mr. Francesc Escala, co-founder of Can Sumoi, will join us online and share with us the journey of searching for a pristine location for crafting natural wines with low alcohol level and refreshing acidity, including Perfum, which is a blend of local varieties which is exotically aromatic, and the varietal Xarel·Lo made from old vines and bottled without fining and filtering.
