Kaiken was incepted in 2000 by Aurelio Montes Sr., founder of the iconic Chilean winery Montes. The name of Kaiken refers to Caiquén, a wild goose from Patagonia that flies across the Andes between Argentina and Chile, visioning the same adventure of the Montes team to make high-quality wines across the border, in the generous land filled with superb vines and hardworking people in Mendoza.

On 7 Apr (Thu), Mr. Gustavo Hörmann, winemaker of Kaiken, will join us online and share his winemaking philosophy and experience in Argentina, with two wines made with the most important grape of the country – Malbec. Mai is their perfect expression of Malbec, sourced from a 125-year-old vineyard in Vistalba for a unique and elegant wine. Ultra Malbec is an approachable wine expressing the expertise of the team making quality wines on both sides of the Andes mountains.
