Montes was founded in 1988 by Aurelio Montes Sr. along with three other partners, with the philosophy of producing “first growth” wines from Chile. Upon the creation of the Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon, the first “premium” wine to be exported from Chile, Montes is considered as the iconic expression of quality wines from Chile, proving the wines of the country are on a par with other best example around the world.

On 31 May (Tue), Mr. Aurelio Montes Jr., 2nd generation family winemaker of Montes, will join us online to share the wisdom in wine behind Taita, their ultra-premium wine sourced from a single origin Marchigüe in Colchagua Valley, produced in extremely limited quantity. To celebrate the new-vintage release, we will be tasting 4 vintages of Taita vertically and explore the evolution of this iconic Chilean wine.
