James Bond’s Choice of Whisky －Macallan

Whisky is always considered a drink for sophisticated men, just like the peerless spy James Bonds who loves strong drinks, especially the most notable Scotch Whisky－The Macallan. Macallan spares no expense in pursuing excellence by setting the highest standard in winemaking process with the use of Golden Promise barley, small spirit stills, and small spirit cut. No wonder James Bond and his boss M couldn’t resist having glass of Macallan in the movies “Skyfall” (2012) and “Spectre” (2015)!

It is worth mentioning that the movie “Skyfall”, released in 2012, actually marked the 50th anniversary of 007 movie. In the movie, there was a scene where James Bond enjoyed a glass of Macallan 1962 Fine and Rare Vintage, and 1962 was exactly the year when the first Bond was released!

James Bond’s Choice of Whisky －Talisker

As a spirits lover, James Bond is a big fan of Scotch Whisky. For this reason, the Scotch Whisky Talisker is one of the Bond’s favourites and is often seen in 007 movies.  Like in the movies “The World is Not Enough” (1999) and “Die Another Day” (2002), James Bond was drinking Talisker on several occasions. Talisker is produced at the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye and bursts with the iconic sweet smokiness and maritime notes. Also, there are surprising subtle notes of black pepper at the finish.

James Bond’s Choice of Red Wine－ Château Angélus

Red wine is always perfect for a romantic date. In the movie “Casino Royale” (2006), James Bond met his beloved Vesper Lynd on the train to Montenegro and they were sipping an excellent 1982 St. Émilion from Château Angélus. The scene has made Château Angélus famous around the world. Château Angélus uses a high proportion of Cabernet Franc in its blend, which is rich, full-bodied, silky with dense tannins.

James Bond’s Choice of Champagne －Bollinger

As the official supplier of Champagne to the British court, Bollinger has become a key sponsor for the James Bond film series since 1973, when the movie “Live and Let Die” was first released. The Bollinger Champagne has been featured in 14 Bond films, and well-known scenes include James Bond enjoying a glass of Bollinger on his private plane in the movie “Moonraker” (1979). Bollinger uses a majority of Pinot Noir with aromas of oak and fruit that makes it to be one of the Bond favourites.
