We are pleased to invite you to a wine dinner hosted by Mr. James Lindner, owner of Langmeil Winery, who will visit Hong Kong in September.
Langmeil is a blend of Barossa’s cultural beginnings and a family’s modern day commitment to world-class, old vine winemaking. The founder Christian Auricht, a pioneer migrated from Prussia, established one of the region’s first trading villages and planted the first vineyard in 1842, which is now the historical home to the winery.
Owned by the Lindner family today, the estate is a treasure of some of the oldest vines in Australia. At the pinnacle of the collection, “The Freedom 1843 Shiraz” is sourced from 1.5 hectares of centenarian old vines, which is believed to be the world’s oldest surviving Shiraz vineyard, named in memory of the courage and determination of the immigrants to Barossa.
