Sophie Christmann's 2022 Spatburgunder Aus den Lagen opens with a beautifully refined and elegant bouquet of red and black berries as well as cherries and floral aromas intertwined with a delicate toasty tone. Refined and elegant on the palate, this medium-bodied Pinot is clear and fresh but finely textured and beautifully balanced. The tannins are fine and elegant, and there's freshness sourced from the terroirs as well as perfectly matured grape berries. This is a delicate Pfalz Pinot from the Mittelhaardt. RP
