When I think of classic Tasmanian wines, the Lady A is one of the first names that springs to mind. Complex and long of flavour, with tones of lemon curd, guava and feijoa on a base of crushed riverstone. There's all sorts of stuff going on. Sandalwood, galangal, ginger, whey, clover blossom and pressed citrus blossom; you expect it to be more flavoursome, but it dekes you and sails stony, savoury and snow-melt pure on rails of marble-like acidity. Such a graceful drinking experience. Wonderful stuff. JH
