Chateau Poujeaux Moulis en Medoc 2010
The final blend in this vintage was 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, tipping the scales at 14% natural alcohol. The wine is outstanding. Rich black raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with some graphite and floral notes are followed by an opulent, fleshy, full-bodied wine with impressive concentration, texture and length. Moreover, the 2010 can be drunk early on in life or cellared for 15 or more years. RP

Chateau Poujeaux Moulis en Medoc 2011
One of the most successful wines in the Moulis-Listrac appellations, Poujeaux (owned by the Cuvelier family, also the proprietors of the impressive St.-Emilion estate of Clos Fourtet) has turned out a surprisingly good wine in 2011. Its dark ruby color is followed by sweet plum, black cherry and currant fruit, no herbaceousness, a medium-bodied, elegant mouthfeel, and noteworthy purity.
