Grosset Polish Hill Riesling 2020
The intense, lime juice flavours and fine linear structure is more dramatic, more overtly tight than most of these wines. It is powerful, multi-layered, richly concentrated and has an immediacy on release that is rare with ‘Polish Hill’. There are hints of schisty minerality on the long finish which is pristine, crisp and satisfying.

So here, the 2024 Polish Hill Riesling is thunderous and rolling in its intensity and energy. The citrus fruits gather speed over a grounding of crushed rocks and minerals, while the finish culminates in a sandstorm of flavor and texture. This is an excellent wine. It is fleshy and powerful, tightly coiled and salty. It's so good. RP

Subdued aromas of talc, chalk, orchard fruits, tatami straw, finger lime and fresh lemonade. Dry and tightly furled to a point that verges on severity. There is bountiful extract that pummels the cheeks and stains the palate, suggestive of a bright future despite the unyielding youthfulness now. From biodynamically grown grapes. JS
