We are pleased to invite you to a wine tasting hosted by Mr. Paddy Gilhooly, Proprietor of Thistledown Wines, who will visit Hong Kong in May.
Thistledown Wines is a collaboration wine project between two Master of Wines – Giles Cooke MW and Fergal Tynan MW. Being tired of international stereotypes of Australian wines, the team focuses on hand-crafted, small-batch wines, emphasising purity, energy, and precise expression of terroir through minimal intervention and sustainable practices.
Grenache, particularly the old vines from McLaren Vale, is the calling card of the estate. The wines highlight delicate structure, fresh red fruits, and refined tannins, earning them top awards and recognition as one of Australia’s leading wineries, including 2025 Best Grenache and Blends of the Year from James Halliday’s Wine Companion.
