Dear Wine Lover,
We are pleased to invite you to a wine dinner hosted by Mr. Marino Braccu, representative of Argiolas, with a menu especially prepared by the Michelin-starred restaurant Tosca di Angelo at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong.
Argiolas is recognised as the leading wine producer in Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Founded in 1938 by Antonio Argiolas, the family estate was the first on the island to convert to modern viticulture to pursue quality over quantity. Today, it is run by the third generation of the family, working diligently on their 240 hectares of vines planted to native Sardinian grapes to produce quality wines with the unique terroir of the island.
The estate’s flagship Turriga is the benchmark red wine of Sardinia. It was created by the Argiolas family and Giacomo Tachis, known as the father of Super Tuscan, who is the consulting oenologist responsible for Sassicaia, Tignanello, Solaia and a number of first-rate Italian wines. It is a blend of Cannonau (Grenache), Carignano (Carignan), Malvasia Nera, and Bovale Sardo with two years aging in French barriques, offering finesse and intensity, with a rich and complex structure.
