To celebrate the Freedom Day of South Africa, we are pleased to invite you to an exclusive South African wine tasting featuring 20 highly rated wines from some of the country’s best producers, including Boekenhoutskloof, Vergelegen, Klein Constantia, and more.
After Nelson Mandela ended the apartheid in 1994, the wine industry in South Africa has blossomed to an unprecedented scale of over 100,000 hectares of vineyard. South Africans fortunately enjoy plenty of sun in the warm Mediterranean climate, tempered by Oceanic onshore breezes, along their more than 350-year-old winemaking history. Nowadays, almost all producers have farmed according to Integrated Production of Wine (IPW) guidelines to manage water resources and ensure sustainable growing methods in wine production.
