Enough wood to merit pointing out frames floral-suffused aromas of ripe plum, various red berries and a more discreet touch of earth. There is excellent density and intensity to the racy medium weight flavors that terminate in a clean, moderately austere, powerful and quite serious finale. This is an excellent Pommard villages though at least some patience is strongly advised. BH
