Collectors seek out old vintages from Col d'Orcia thanks to its ample library. I am told it is the biggest in Montalcino. This was a classic vintage and was rated one of the best ever back in the day. The 1990 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Poggio al Vento has leaned into tertiary tones of sandalwood, Indian spice, linseed oil, rosewood and star anise. RP
