The 2023 Old Vine Grenache is beguiling and layered aromatically with pressed flowers, dried mint, anise, sweet red apple skin, raspberry pip, wet concrete/petrichor and curls of soft-eating licorice. On the palate, the tannins are chalky, finally milled and chewy, and they plume through the fruit. These provide texture and shape to the wine and feel seamless in their integration with the fruit.
