This shines in its spicy, mineral and subtly floral detail, with dried cherry and blackberry, pressed flowers, black tea, goji, scrubby herbs, tobacco leaf, iron, anise, white pepper, salted chocolate and ground coffee. The fruit has considerable depth and intensity, though it’s pleasingly absent of heft, with finely tooled but resolute tannins running through an energetic finish. Very smart indeed. JS
