Mineral and citrus-driven aromas of candied lime zest, lime blossoms and mandarins. The light-bodied palate has tightly wound acidity and generous texture from 50 g/L of residual sweetness, giving notes of orange pith, lychees, guava and slate. Well-balanced and precise. JS

Felton Road Block 1 Riesling 2025
Closed at present, this powerfully concentrated yet light-bodied riesling is in a brooding state. Ripe flavours of apricot, nectarine and sun-dried figs take on a spicy edge with air, anchored on a bed of intense sweetness and acidity. The decadent flavours finish noticeably sweet, winning out against the acidity at present. There is also a persistent reductive note throughout which yields to stony, steely notes on the finish alongside the honeyed stone fruit. Giving this the benefit of the doubt and some time in bottle for the impression of sweetness to moderate, the acidity will eventually lift the wine into finer balance. BC
