So savoury, so appealing, so ready now. It’s full of warm earth aromas, ferrous notes and a little wood smoke too; underneath, all dark fruit, especially satsuma plums doused in baking spices, some squid ink and tar. Fleshy, ripe and lovely tannins across the fuller-bodied palate, and it feels cool. JH
