The Cuvée 4.5 is aged in the cellars for 4 years, made of a blend of 5 Champagne Grands Crus: Verzenay, Bouzy, Aÿ, Avize & Cramant.
Pinot Noir – from Verzenay, Aÿ and Bouzy – confers power and structure, as well as fresh, generous aromas. Chardonnay – from Cramant and Avize – lends elegance and liveliness, as well as tangy citrus notes.
The dosage liqueur – a light dosage of 6 grams per liter – sourced from these Grand Cru terroirs and matured in oak casks, provides the finishing touch.
This caresses like raw silk on the palate, with a subtle, smoky overtone to the flavors of baked pear, toasted brioche, crystalized honey and preserved lemon. Creamy and lightly juicy throughout, with a rich finish of pastry cream and ripe fruit.
