I describe this wine (not this vintage) at length in the winery summary, but I have to tell you that the sheer intensity of the 1920 is breathtaking - it has taken my breath away. Repetitious, but there it is. JH
cocoa chocolate, spreads slowly across the palate--a superior melt ; persistent roasted coffee and cardamom flavours with dried fig and vinocotto acidity ensuring the finish is refreshing and smooth. A wine of almost indescribable concentration and complexity. Has often be referred to as 'the essence of wine'.
