A classic wine that shows the power and finesse of pure coastal grapes. Gorgeous, huge aromas of violets, cherries and baking spices lead to powerful, focused, potent black cherry, blackcurrant and star anise notes on the palate. The extreme coastal site gives excellent complexity, layering and vivid acidity. Made from Pommard, Mt. Eden and 114 clones aged in special four-year, air-dried Francois Freres French barrels. JS
