California is the largest and most important wine region of the United States accounting for 85% of the country’s production. In recent years, there has been a revolution where young producers handcraft wines that truly reflect the terroirs instead of blockbuster Cabernets or European emulations, and winemaker Michael Cruse chose sparkling wines to express his talents.

Cruse Wine Co., the namesake winery founded by Michael Cruse, bottles a range of terroir-driven wines with grapes across Northern California, but it is his sparkling wines that brought him practically overnight fame, including the award of San Francisco Chronicle Winemaker of the Year 2016. On 15 Apr (Thu), he will join us and share his epic journey of crafting cult sparkling wines with minimal intervention which taste not unlike a great grower champagne.
