The 2022 Chardonnay leads with chamomile and yellow fruits, candlewax and forest floor. This is quite a beguiling wine to smell; it leads me down a path of white miso, white pepper and caper brine. This will be excellent now or over the next decade or two. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. RP

The 2015 Chardonnay is a smoky, toasty, medium to full-bodied effort marked by a terrific acid line. That grapefruit note provides the backbone over which riper notions of white peach, toasted hazelnut and pineapple rest. Zesty and refreshing, with a long, mouthwatering finish, this is a compelling example of Marlborough Chardonnay. RP

Dog Point Chardonnay 2023
The 2023 Chardonnay is incredibly tightly coiled and mineral on the nose, with white flowers, crushed shells, wet chalk and white pepper. This is overwhelming "white" in character, and I love it. The saline, mineral aspect of it is highly attractive to me, and as it unfolds like an origami paper crane through the finish, it shows precision and finesse in equal measure. RP
