A wonderfully spicy nose also features plenty of floral influence to the liqueur-like aromas of dark raspberry and kirsch. Like the Marechaudes, this is a wine of textural contrasts as the super-fine mid-palate of the big-bodied flavors contrasts with the sleekly muscular flavors where the intensity really builds to the youthfully austere, superbly long and already highly complex finale.
