Very flinty nose with an upfront chalky, mineral edge to the lemon zest and cream. A touch of seashells. Round and creamy on the palate with an almost waxy feel to the middle. I like the fat here with lovely acidity and intense salinity. You’ll smack your lips after a sip. JS
Chalk, eggshells, brioche, toast and lemon rind on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied with a round center palate and intense flavors. Long, saline finish. This is from an ungrafted 4.4-hectare vineyard planted in 1993. 6,600 bottles made. JS
