The 2019 El Puntido was still very young and energetic, powerful with generous oak and plenty of tannins that need polishing and integration, which should be provided by the time in bottle. It has ripe berries and smoky notes, hints of shoe polish and a darker profile than the 2018 I tasted next to it and with incisive tannins. RP
